Alcohol withdrawal symptoms that occur 8 to 12 hours after stopping drinking. They include headache, dizziness, nausea, thirst, and dry mouth. The causes are usually the direct effects of alcohol and its additives. Hangover is distinguished from withdrawal, which is more severe and more long-term.
