The botanical genus of all plants that contain marijuana or hemp. C. indica contains the most THC (psychoactive ingredient) of all the species; a short shrub. C. ruderalis has a low THC content. C. sativa is the most common species; can be high in hemp fiber content or THC content; often 10 to 20 feet tall.
