In its expanded role of supervising tobacco products, the US Food and Drug Administration is looking closely at whether menthol cigarettes might be more addicting, as well as more of the ongoing controversy over the 5 year old electronic cigarette industry; also a proposal to consider the possible health and safety benefits of increasing alcohol taxes.
